The La Détente adventure began on July 10, 1995, in a 7,000-square-foot space on Maloney Boulevard East in Gatineau. From the outset, our goal was to create a place where customers would feel at home, offering the finest living room furniture from Quebec and Canadian manufacturers, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

In 2002, La Détente took a new step by moving to a more spacious and better located location at 25 Chemin de la Savane in Gatineau. Our showroom, with an area of ​​nearly 15,000 square feet, has become a true showcase for our dining room, bedroom, and living room furniture, as well as a multitude of carefully selected accessories. We are proud to continue to favor Quebec and Canadian manufacturers, offering quality furniture that reflects our passion for local know-how.
